BRIEF DESCRIPTION :
A beautiful sunny morning, presence of many bright faces and so many colourfully dressed ladies sets up the day, sets up the occasion. It’s the small initiative taken by Everyside Foundation for distributing blankets to those and this program is undertaken mostly in the winter season. A blanket in a winter night is a bliss and giving it to the needy is the kindest act.
In Senjiagaram village, in a winter morning, volunteers of Everyside Foundation along with the CEO, Beulah gathered. It was informed early so the crowd already were present there and it was tough time for the volunteers to enlist the names of the beneficiaries and to arrange them to stand in a queue.
However, with much effort things became within control. Colourful blankets for colourful ladies were getting exhausted with a wink of an eye.
Those who are distributing are happy, those who are receiving are happy. Who is happier then?
It is said that there is great joy in giving.
PURPOSE OF THIS ACTIVITY –
Blanket donating drive is carried out mostly in winters as a part of CSR activity as mentioned. It essentially brings smiles to the villagers who are living in BPL category mostly.
Wrapped in a blanket in a winter night is like a dream and the NGO Everyside Foundation in collaboration with Sunland oil is doing exactly the same by fulfilling the dreams of the hundreds of ladies and their families and it is a great joy and greater peace of mind particularly seeing the ladies who were benefitted, seeing them smiling, giggling and chatting aloud.
This time almost 125 blankets were distributed. No. of blankets though, are not enough that’s why these programs are repeated in different places, outskirt of the city mostly to the remote villages. In the end happy faces were seen leaving the place with blankets in hands and smile in their eyes.
