On August 26, 2023, our NGO celebrated Women Equality Day with a remarkable event held in
Kavangarai, Puzhal, and Chennai. The day was a tribute to women’s rights, and it aimed to empower and
inspire women and children within the community.
Objective
The Everyside Foundation is dedicated to advancing the cause of women’s justice, women’s equality, and fostering mutual respect among all individuals. Our mission is to create a world where every woman is treated with dignity, empowered to exercise her rights, and has equal opportunities in all aspects of life. We work tirelessly to raise awareness, promote gender equality, and eliminate discrimination and violence against women. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to build a
society that recognizes and values the contributions of women, ensuring a future where gender equality is not just a goal but also a reality for all.
Event Highlights
The day began with an impactful street play that addressed various issues related to women’s equality and empowerment. Young kids sang songs that carried powerful messages, aimed at inspiring and empowering women in attendance. The songs resonated with the audience, stirring a sense of unity and purpose. Children’s Public Speaking: Children from the community took part in a public speaking session where they shared their thoughts, dreams, and aspirations. This provided them with a platform to express themselves and build their confidence.
EVERYSIDE FOUNDATION
Encouraging Public Speaking in Children: Recognizing the importance of public speaking skills, the event encouraged children to communicate effectively. This skill-building session was instrumental in fostering confidence and self-expression among the younger generation.
The event was not only a celebration of Women Equality Day but also a reminder of the ongoing fight for gender equality. Through artistic expression, music, and empowering activities, the event left a lasting impact on the attendees, inspiring them to advocate for equal rights and opportunities for all.
