OBJECTIVE AND EXPLANATION OF SOFTSKILL

Soft-skills are essentially where technologies are not involved, even formal education is also not counted. Instead, it deals with several other factors which need to be developed – Interpersonal skill, teamwork, building relations, trustworthiness, time management, listening and communication skills, networking skills and above all developing leadership qualities.
These are imparted to the people with the help of internship program, carefully developed curriculum for training and execution with the help of various activities. Careful monitoring of the progress of the interns are one of the essential parts of  this program.
These are conducted among the small group of interns for a minimum 7 days of activities. Duration may vary depending upon various factors.
One such power packed activities are taken by the NGO Everyside Foundation which is briefly described below.

BRIEF ACTIVITY OF THE PROGRAM

During year ending of 2022, Everyside Foundation organized an internship program for 7 days laced with lots of activities to develop soft skills for girls. For this, advertisement was made much before and was spread through social media and other channels. Result was overwhelming.
Soon people contacted to participate this internship program from Assam to Kashmir to Mumbai and Pune. Apart from that, local people from Tamil Nadu and Kerala too were interested.
This internship program was meant for girls in their teenage who wants to buildup the leadership quality through this program. Finally, the CEO of the NGO Everyside Foundation, Beulah Savitha with the help of the volunteer team shortlisted the girls and a group of approximately 10kids were finalized. Of which girls from Kashmir, Assam, Pune, Kerala, Tamil Nadu were there.
The girls were gathered in the Everyside Foundation premise on the stipulated day. Initially this program kicked off with the introduction of the interns, their native places, their personal stories, their interests, their hobbies, their dreams etc. Basically, the program started emphasizing their interpersonal relationship to building relationship among other interns, communication skills with the help of verbal and non-verbal means. With the help of programs like the community kitchen set up and other skill development activities like paintings, photo frame making, jewelry making, group discussion, storytelling activities etc. opened up the interns’ hidden selves and soon all the participant interns became good friends, they showed good teamwork activities and interacting and communicating with others, soon developed trustworthiness and built-up network. The last but not the least was the time management, perfect balance between work and non-working hours which was another essential part of soft skill development program. Miss Beulah Savitha took active initiative to look in to this. The Seven-day fiesta ended with a massive success
