JANUARY, 2023

BRIEF DESCRIPTION –

The morning hue of the nature has spread its web throughout the universe and in this corner, the premise of Everyside Foundation is already abuzz with hues of different colours one can imagine. Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange, purple, violet… people are tired of counting and so also the organizer Everyside Foundation and the volunteers. It was beyond imagination that so many interns, so many enthusiasts, so many buddying painters came from different corners of the country came along to make this event a grand success. Interns came from far east (Assam) to north (Kashmir), West (Mumbai and Pune) to south (Kerala) along with the locals which ultimately gave the sense of great milieu of the vast culture of our country, India.
The event the CEO Beulah titled as ‘Draw whatever you wish’,
‘Paint whatever you imagine’. And the interns, like pro, began to paint their imaginations on canvases. All the raw materials were provided, not a single money was charged and no questions asked – only fulfill your joy through paintings – this was the single instructions came from the organiser. In no time the whole area started blooming with so many flowers on canvas like it’s a Garden of Heaven.

Interns were told about the versatility of using acrylic paints and its outcome. It was part of soft skill development program the NGO Everyside Foundation planned. As a part of the program, the interns were taught the step-by-step process of acrylic painting, how colours are mixed, how colours are used and how it is safe to use on different surfaces like, paper, canvas board, glass, wood even on earthen articles to give life to those in other words. A simple earthen pot may wear a dazzling look with the help of acrylic paints. The volunteers led by the CEO, Beulah Savitha simplified the difficult terms of acrylic painting to the interns presented like tint, pigments, hue, tonal value, saturation, texture, mass tone, under tone etc. at ease.
The kids, the interns, enriched by the knowhow of this Acrylic Painting and its various aspects, started insisting on doing those on different surfaces. By then it was late and Miss Beulah had to intervene and promised for the future curriculum of Part-2 of Acrylic Painting workshop. In no time, these kids became knowledgeable on Acrylic Painting. But the volunteers promised them that whatever was taught them about acrylic paint and different mediums will be exercised in next session in a much bigger way on which everyone agreed with smile and giggles and took an oath that all of them are going to come and join again.
In the meantime, the canvases started becoming alive which everyone couldn’t even imagine, not even Beulah. Small hands with colours practically created wonders on canvas. What a range of colours and what a range of imaginations? Everyone present there had to clap and cheer and became delighted and were blown away seeing the creations of the tiny painters. And then the photo session of the kids with their creations went with much of enthusiasm and fervour.
The day ended in a jiffy. The organisers, the kid interns and their relatives all were agreed upon one thing – it was a fulfilling day for all and the next session is not too far to begin.
The CEO, Beulah Savitha along with others of Everyside Foundation were joyous seeing the unending enthusiasm of these small interns. It was a fulfilling exercise for Everyside Foundation in recent time.
